It has been a long time since the last website update, and this one is a big one. The whole site has been rebuilt from the ground up with a new design, and we have added several features you have been asking for.
New
- Completely redesigned the website with a fresh look on every page
- Brought back the dark and light theme toggle, with your choice saved for next time
- My Save is now live. If your Game Jolt account is linked, you can view your party, boxes, bag, Pokédex, Hall of Fame, trophies and more
- You can request help with a broken game save and track the request from your account
- Unlock profile backgrounds by earning emblems in the game
- Member profiles can show more than one Pokédex
- Follow resources and get notified when they get an update
- Resource authors can link an external download instead of only uploading a file
- Search, sort and filter the member list
- Link your Game Jolt account from your profile settings
- You can now log in with your forum account
- Reviews can be submitted from the review page
Improvements
- Redesigned the menu, home page, blog, members, resources, servers and skins
- Member profiles show more of your game progress, including party, stats and trophies
- Servers show when they were last online, and you can reactivate an inactive server
- Skin cards can preview animated skins
- Rebuilt the notifications page
- Updated the legal pages and the privacy policy
- Expanded Dutch translations, including items, natures and abilities
Fixes
- Fixed loading an empty game save on a user profile
- Fixed several game save sync issues, including eggs and ability names
- Fixed dark mode issues on profile tabs and server cards
- Made the Pokédex seen icon match the caught icon
- Blocked disposable and spam email addresses on registration
Removed
- Removed Facebook and Twitter login
- Removed the old website achievements system
- Removed the status page
- Removed importing a skin from an external ID
Minor changes
- Rebuilt the frontend and upgraded the backend so we can keep shipping updates more easily
- Bumped a bunch of packages for both frontend and backend to make sure we are up to date
