The Power Plant, occasionally referred to as the Kanto Power Plant in Generations II and IV, is a facility located on Route 10 in Kanto. It is the most noticeable building on Route 10 and requires the HM Move surf to reach. The power plant provides electricity for the Magnet Train. There is a small patch of grass in front of the Power Plant where the player can catch several kinds of electric pokemon. Once the player progresses in the game, the legendary pokémon Zapdos can also be found standing in front of the Plant.
