  2. We, the pokemon3d.net staff, has from now (2016-09-02) discontinued work on this project and handed it over to a group of volunteers on Github. The project will be open source, and you can help develop it from now on. Check out the repo here.

"Why?" you might ask. We have unfortunatly lost interest in continuing development on Pokémon 3D. Also Nintento of America Inc. sent a DMCA takedown notice to Gamejolt (where this game was hosted) and asked them to remove all games related to Nintendo's work. Read the full DMCA here.

But you can still download the latest version of the game here!

    Greetings, community

This thread is posted on behalf the team of volunteers that are working on the next release of the Visual Basic version of Pokemon3D.
So as there is a lot of things that could be implemented and/or fixed to improve the game, we would like to know what would the player base like to see first.

Feel free to place all of your suggestions and any questions regarding the update here!

Follow the repository for spoilers about the update :D

Absolite - Dark Cave, Near Blackthorn (Dark Cave Matches Type, Area Absol would be found, Later game but not to late)
Garchompite - Dragon's Den Being Guarded by a Trainer (Late game but once again Be for Elite 4 so not to late)
Lucarionite - New Bark Town, where your Rival was. (The First mega stone most players got to use and would be fitting in that town as well as your Rival's fighting spirt)
Abomasite - Ice Cave in the Middle of the cave (Fits in Candice's Gym who used an Abomasnow, and makes is usabble before the dragon gym)
Charizardite X - Near where red is Standing (Red uses One in Cannon)
Pinsirite - In Viridain Forest (Pinsir was the main Bug for 1st Gen (Outside Syther but He gets a mega and evole) so it would fit really well actually)
Mewtwonite X - The Area to the Right on entry of the Cerulain Cave, Over the little Hill (Mewtwo's Cave and is needs you to go thru the cave)

Glalitite - Ice Area Below Blaine's Gym (Later Game to prevent op and is in a very "Ice" Area)
Salamencite - In Lance's Room at the Elite Four (Want it after Elite 4 and Before Kanto Gyms so it is not op or to weak)
Metagrossite - Given to you for seeing the Game Grumps Easter Egg (Best Mega outside the main 2 and is great for manipulation as well as keeping the player quite about what they saw.

Audinite - Day Care Center in Jhoto
Galladite - The Start Mt. Sliver
Diancite - Event or on Her on Capture when added into game
Mega Rayquaza - Rayquaza doesn't need to Mega Stone to Mega Evolve. Instead, it needs to learn the move Dragon Ascent in order to be able to Mega Evolve. So Make Lance, a Dragon Elder or Dragon Gym Leader a Move Tutor for it.

Standardizes game mechanics to 7th Generation when there will be info for it (updated moves, updated abilities, updated items and such as). For now there are only couple things that is known that updated in 7th Gen:
    • Parental Bond's second hit damage has been reduced to 25% of the first damage.
    • Water Shuriken is changed to a special move.
    • Super Potion now heals a Pokémon by 60 HP.
    • Leech Life is now become TM for first time ever, so would be nice if we will gain TM171 - Leech Life.

Let the player choose which mon to send out when their Pokemon faints in battle, rather than sending out the next mon.

This is a major issue and will eventually get done. Probably not for this update, though. It is not as easy to implement as it sounds.

I'm not so sure whether the breeding system has been fixed but one problem which I encountered was the fact that a pokemon could not inherit two egg moves at once from both parents. i.e. i.e. if a male ferroseed with stealth rock breeds with a female feerroseed with leech seed then the baby should get stealth rock and leech seed. Another suggestion would be to implement cool battle items like choice brand, choice scarf and focus sash:)

Uhh I think fixing breeding system is more important than few items (which I despise as you probably already know). We'll have just held items and yet we won't be able to get moves on pokemon. I reckon that having possibilty of using pokemon with moves we want is more neccesary than this

I could just implement a lazy fix making all of these egg moves to be learned by lvl in lvl 1, but I think you would most probably want to wait a bit more for a proper implementation.

I would LOVE to see implementation of items that can make IV breeding a little bit easier!
