And here we go again.

The next Pokémon3D update 0.49 is complete and ready for download.

This version contains these additions and changes:

  • Completed Saffron City
  • Added Celadon City
  • Added Route 7
  • Added Route 13
  • Added Route 14
  • Added Suicune Encounter on Route 14 and 25.
  • Added Saffron and Celadon Gyms
  • Added Magnet Train connecting Goldenrod and Saffron
  • Added Vending machines on the Goldenrod and Celadon Dept Store roofs
  • Rock Climb texture in Cliff Edge gate
  • Added legendary battle music
  • Added a new encounter animation for legendary Pokémon.
  • Fixed and changed the Roaming Pokémon encounters
  • Added an @title command to display titles on the screen.
  • Changed the @battle.wild command.
  • Added resizable interfaces to the main menu.
  • Lots of game and spelling fixes.
The update will available in the launcher shortly.

The forum have had a decent amount of lotteries by now, and there was even a time when there was a "capture-pokemon-and-bring-them-to-the-gts-race" but I prefer creativity, so I have decided to host the first P3D skin creating contest. Time to rely on your skill rather than luck or speed, and show your creativity & skill at spriting. Go for the win, or just make a skin for the heck of it, and make the choice of skins larger as a whole for the community.

The theme for the skin contest is Video Game Characters. Make your skin according to the theme & I will be judging the skins.

When the skins are judged, there are two things that will give a score between 1 and 100, so you can get a score between 2 & 200 and these are:

1. How well the skin resembles the character
2. How detailed the skin is

And here we go, version 0.48 of Pokémon3D.

This version contains a lot of small changes and improvements, it adds lots of sounds, script changes and map improvements.

We also fixed the game crashing or not responding when unfocusing it.

All of those changes and updates are listed here: Pokémon3D version 0.48 full changelog.

Aside from that, we also updated the story and added new areas to the game:

  • Added Cerulean Cave
  • Completed the Rocket storyline in Kanto
  • Added a “surprise character” appearance
Also, GameModes are able to change the items that come from SmashRocks per map.

If you want to grab the update, you can do so in the launcher in a few seconds, once it’s available there.

Have fun with these new additions to the game.

So this is a major task we need help doing since it can't be automated and needs far too much human input for us to be able to put time into it while continuing other parts of the projects.
Move sets are extremely critical to the development of a strong competitive battling community and we definitely don't want the move selections to be its downfall.

There are also other portions of the data that are either out of date or something so we will need help with that too
Here are the main portions:

TMs/HMs: By far the most complex and difficult portion of this project. There are going to be 170 TMs as well as 10 HMs and each pokemon (minus a dozen or so that cant learn most if not all TMs and will be dealt with by internal code not the data files) needs to have these set
For each pokemon and TM combination we need to decide if that pokemon can learn that TM
I have made a Google Spread sheet to help with this
Along the top are the TMs and along the left are the Pokemon
